Of course the question is raised as to why someone would write a webpage on his
DISLIKE of a particular genre of music. After all, he doesn’t have to listen to it,
does he? Of course, it is this line of questioning that, before anything else I wish to
dispel. Punk, as a musical form, has little focus on this page. My opinions and attitudes
of punk are of little consequence and, though I do reveal some in one of the articles
herein, I do not tend to let my musical tastes influence my look at punk as a social
group.
The problem that I’ve noticed (and write this page about), after many
interviews, research and a lot of delves into the "scene" is that there is a
line of thinking that is ambiguous with the whole punk scene. In other words, many (not
necessarily all) punks, there is a concept that one must embrace the philosophy that
accompanies punk music.
It is this philosophy that I disagree with.
Anyway, if you’ve visited this page simply to tell me how wrong I am, then
you may as well leave now; to enter a place with a contradictory view only to oppose
without listening to the argument would make you a bigot, and you have no place here.
Everything I say, I base on my own OPINIONS, and I do not care if you agree or disagree.
But if you hate me solely for my OPINION then I’ll have nothing to do with you.
